Bark School
Bark School is my one-woman dog training and boarding operation in San Diego. I'm Shirin — a trainer with a biology background and seven years in the game, three and a half of them fully solo. I keep the roster small on purpose, so every dog gets the attention they deserve.
Every board & train dog lives in my home, works with me daily, and goes back to an owner who's been coached just as carefully as the dog. I specialize in real-world pet dogs — the reactive rescue, the hyper doodle, the fearful puppy, the leash-puller the internet said would never change. Most of them do.
What I train
Most training issues don't fit neatly into one box — and they shouldn't be trained that way either.

Start your puppy off right. Crate training, potty training, leash manners, socialization, and the habits that set the tone for life.

Barking, lunging, and losing it on-leash — turned into calm, confident walks past other dogs, bikes, and strangers.

For the shy, nervous, or under-socialized dog. We build trust and confidence at the dog's pace — no flooding, no shortcuts.

The full toolkit: heel, place, recall, and rock-solid impulse control that holds under real-world distraction, on-leash and off.
The approach
One trainer. One dog at a time. One clear plan from day one to graduation.
From an owner
"Shirin gave us back the dog we thought we couldn't have. Four weeks in her home did what a year of group classes couldn't."

Book a consultation
Every program starts with a $150 in-person consultation. I meet your dog, assess where they're at, and walk you through an honest plan and quote — no pressure to book anything on the spot.
Common questions
All breeds, all sizes, all temperaments — puppies, rescues, doodles, working breeds, you name it. Reactive, hyper, fearful, or just untrained. The only dogs I don't take are true human-aggression cases, since I run everything out of my home.
